OROKLINI

Oroklini, called Voroklini in Cyprus, is a rural village 8km north-east of of Larnaca on the south-eastern coast of Cyprus. Oroklini is about 50m above sea level at the foot of a 208m hill. As Oroklini is on elevated land you get lovely sea views too! To the north lies the monastery of Agios Georgios tou Mavrovouniou (St. George of the Black Hill), to the west is Livadia (1.5km), to the north-west is Troulloi and to the north-east is Pyla (3km). A terrific holiday spot in its own right, Oroklini is also a great base from which to explore the rest of Cyprus.

The village of Oroklini itself is situated on raised ground, meaning that is boasts breathtaking views of the sea and coastline from the British Dhekelia Garrison to the port of Larnaca.

Oroklini is also known to have a combination of both Greek Cypriots and British people.  As a result it has a combination of both cultures. So Oroklini is the place where you will find Cypriot taverns as well as British style bars.  The infrastructure of Oroklini is fantastic, everything is accessible from bars, taverns, shops, hiking trails, bus stops etc.
